Pre-School:
This level consists of eighteen courses for children starting at four years of age. Each course is ten weeks long with a total number of thirty class hours. The children meet three times a week for one hour with their teacher most of whom are female. (At Fisher's SuperKids, this young Vietnamese age group seems to respond psychologically better when studying with a foreign teacher who is female.)
These children will learn how to communicate basic greetings, needs and feelings to the teacher and their classmates. They will obtain much new vocabulary (shapes, colors, time, some prepositions, animal names and sounds, family and much more in addition to learning action words), be able to correctly speak in simple present tense using subject-verb-object sentences, become fluent in reciting the alphabet with correct pronunciation, begin phonics, identify and write their name in English, identify and read common words used throughout the courses' books, and comprehend basic commands, suggestions and praise from the teacher.
The textbooks we select are always colorful and well-designed with lots of supplementary flashcards, wall charts, posters, CDs and DVDs. Teachers add their special touches using extra realia, supplies, rewards and games in class to benefit and increase the learning of each lesson.
Facts about Pre-School:
Four to six years of age is a good place to start with English. Learning takes places gently and naturally through interesting activities such as singing, drawing, coloring, story telling, reading, watching movies and fun games. Children at this age can learn very quickly and develop a most native-like accent and good pronunciation.
Communication skills often manifest most clearly after ten to twelve months of study.
